  Domestic free television programme service licensees are required under the First Schedule of the licence to submit annual reports on compliance with the requirements to provide four types of positive programmes, i.e. children’s programmes, programmes for young persons, programmes for senior citizens and arts and culture programmes. Following the mid-term review of the licences in 2010, ATV and TVB are also required under the new licence requirements to submit annual reports on compliance with the new requirements to provide additional positive programmes (i.e. arts and culture programmes and programmes for senior citizens) or government programmes (Radio Television Hong Kong programmes).

  Following the mid-term review of the domestic free television programme service licences in 2010, ATV and TVB are required under the licence to submit annual reports on compliance with their proposals regarding high definition television programmes (in the cases of ATV and TVB) and locally produced programmes (in the case of ATV).

  Analogue sound broadcasting service licensees are required under Condition 27A of the licence to submit annual reports on compliance with the requirements to provide five types of positive programmes, i.e. current affairs programmes, children’s programmes, programmes for young persons, programmes for senior citizens and arts and culture programmes.
