Annual Reports on Positive Programmes

  TVB is required under the First Schedule to its old licence (with a validity period up to 30 November 2015) and the First and Second Schedules to its renewed licence (which takes effect from 1 December 2015) to submit annual reports on compliance with the requirements to provide six types of positive programmes, i.e. documentary programmes, current affairs programmes, children’s programmes, programmes for young persons, programmes for senior citizens and arts and culture programmes. TVB is also required under the licence requirements to submit annual reports on compliance with the requirements to provide additional positive programmes (i.e. arts and culture programmes and programmes for senior citizens) or government programmes (Radio Television Hong Kong programmes).

  Analogue sound broadcasting service licensees are required under Condition 27A of the licence to submit annual reports on compliance with the requirements to provide five types of positive programmes, i.e. current affairs programmes, children’s programmes, programmes for young persons, programmes for senior citizens and arts and culture programmes.
